MA in Music and Cultural History
University College Cork’s Department of Music is still taking applications for our innovative and intensive one-year programme.
This revolutionary MA program enables students to work with world-class scholars in Western art music, popular music, film music, ethnomusicology, and sound studies, while developing their research, writing, and analytical skills. Students will become familiar with the latest methodologies in a critical musicology that explores musical phenomena in relation to gender, race, class, sexuality, globalization, (dis)ability, and politics.
The MA in Music and Cultural History at UCC is a great program for students who would like to get an MA before pursuing a PhD: many of our graduates have gone on to PhD programs in musicology and ethnomusicology at top-tier institutions in Europe and North America.
Consider studying at one of the top institutions in the EU, while living in Cork on the beautiful south coast of Ireland. We are accepting applications through July 2. For more information, visit https://www.ucc.ie/en/
