The 4th SMI Postgraduate Students' Conference was hosted by the School of Music & Sonic Arts, Queen's University Belfast, on 27-28 January 2011.
The keynote speaker was Dr Kenneth Hamilton (University of Birmingham), whose lecture was entitled ‘Improvisation and 19th-Century Piano Performance’.
