The SMI's 10th annual postgraduate students' conference was held as a joint event with the Irish National Committee of the International Council for Traditional Music. It took place on 9-10 December 2016, hosted by the School of Music, University College Dublin.
The keynote speaker was Professor David Burn (University of Leuven), whose lecture was entitled "A New Fifteenth-Century Songbook". The conference also featured the second SMI Careers Forum.
