Our 20th annual postgraduate students' research conference will be held on will be held on 22-23 January 2027 at TU Dublin Conservatoire, under the joint auspices of the SMI and the Irish National Committee of the International Council for Traditional Music and Dance. The 24th annual plenary conference of the Society for Musicology in Ireland will take place in Belfast on 29 August - 1 September 2026. It is a special joint conference for the Royal Musical Association and the European Association for Dance History as well as the SMI, and will be hosted by SARC, the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Sound and Music, at Queen's University.
