The SMI's 12th annual postgraduate students' conference was held as a joint event with the Irish National Committee of the International Council for Traditional Music. It took place on 10-11 January 2019, hosted by the Department of Creative Arts, Media and Music at Dundalk Institute of Technology.
The keynote address was a lecture-recital on Joseph Joachim’s Ireland given by Katharina Uhde, Assistant Professor for Violin and Musicology at Valparaiso University, Indiana.
